The Bill Good Way to Improve Financial Advisor Productivity
In my Research article "How Advisors Can Write More, Better and Faster," I promised a demonstration video of how I use Text Lightning, Auto Text and Dragon Naturally Speaking. (I did not do a demo of Copytalk because it's a dictation service. You call their number. State what happenened in a meeting or phone call and hang up. I a short while, a transcription arrives in your inbox. What's to see?)
Important note: If you already have a free account at billgood.com, please log in. If not, please register below.
Watch the demo here (log in for link).
The link to the video and cheat sheets is here (log in for link). Everything is one folder. Watch the video then download the Auto Text and Text Lightning Cheat Sheets.
The Gorilla CRM System for Financial Advisors is the productivity system in this industry. It is based on one number: $1000.
That's how much an FA who has survived a few years in this industry is worth per hour meeting with and talking to interested, qualified clients and prospects.
You have considered it before. It's time to consider it again.
Here are additional links you need to implement these tools:
1) Subscribe to Copytalk. Call John Daley 866.267.9825. ex 463.
2) Dragon Naturally Speaking. I recommend you buy the Premium edition. The most valuable feature of Premium versus Home is the "read back" capability. The best way to proof read something is to have someone read it aloud to you while you follow along. With Premium, Dragon will read. You follow along.
I also recommend you spend a few dollars for a noise cancelling microphone. You get a microphone with your copy of Dragon. But I and others have found that you can buy a few percentage points of voice recognition accuracy with a mic. The link below is the one I use.
Take about an hour and go through a few of the tutorials. By all means, do the recommended "training." That's where Dragon learns to recognize your voice.
3) Text Lightning. You can download this free Outlook add-in here.
We have also prepared a Text Lightning cheat sheet. Make sure you download it. It's in the folder with the video.
4) Auto Text. You already own it. It's built into Outlook and Word. But you need to practice with it. I've put some instruction on creating and naming Auto Text entries in a white paper. It's also with the video and the Text Lightning Cheat Sheet.
